Overcoming perfectionism AKA just post it

I struggle a lot to get started on stuff. Whether it's blog posts like this one, or a game idea I have - I just get stopped before I start.

I think the main reason is that there's this idea of what I WANT it to be - the purpose, aesthetic etc. needs to be just right. But then I never get started, even if I think a bunch about whatever it is I want to do for days at a time. So I've started putting up the barebones version that at least conveys the idea.

Then, it's actually done. I can revisit it and improve it later as I want, but we're over the initial hump so to speak. This site is a good representation of that - from the logo to the homepage, I can update it as I go / as the vision changes.

And the thing about perfectionism is - nothing is ever really perfect, it's totally subjective. What I think isn't my best stuff may resonate more with you than the things I think highly of. So I want to lean into posting / creating more, not less.

Now go do the thing! I'm sure it'll be cool.
